Research Use Policy

Research-use-only designation

All products offered by NytroGene are research-use-only (RUO) reference compounds intended exclusively for laboratory research, in-vitro experimentation, and analytical reference. This designation is applied consistently across our catalog, product pages, cart, order communications, and physical labeling.

This policy is provided under the labeling framework of 21 CFR § 809.10. RUO designation does not exempt any product, seller, or buyer from applicable FDA, FTC, DEA, or state regulation.

Permitted uses

Products may be used only for legitimate scientific purposes, including in-vitro assays, cell-culture studies, and analytical reference standards, by qualified researchers and research institutions.

Prohibited uses

Products are NOT for human or animal consumption, and NOT for diagnostic, therapeutic, or clinical use. They may not be administered to humans or animals, compounded for such use, or resold for therapeutic use.

Buyer responsibilities

By purchasing, the buyer attests they are 21 years of age or older and a qualified researcher or institutional representative, and agrees to handle, store, and dispose of research chemicals in compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations.
